Please find below some ways to spend your free time that isn't endlessly scrolling on social media wishing you had 'the perfect life' (literally, go curate it yourself!!):
Watching 'Old Hollywood' films on lazy Sunday mornings in silk pyjamas with warm mugs of my favourite drink
Listening to those POV Spotify playlists while primping for the day (I recommend this one)
Having (and maintaining!!) a skincare routine
Pretending I'm Cinderella when cleaning or baking (yes, I have a Spotify playlist for that too)
Being all elegant & sophisticated, sipping coffee while reading a broadsheet newspaper (well-informed girls are the best girls)
Dressing like Jackie Kennedy or President Barbie to go to work
Taking up ballet classes to become more graceful (even if you have no intention of doing it professionally)
Having a Taylor Swift or Lana Del Rey song prepared for any & every specific scenario
Mood-boarding and organising my life out on Pinterest (then go make it your reality!)
Wearing pearls (they don't have to be real!)
Reading classic literature and expanding my vocabulary - in the holy words of Oscar Wilde:
You can never be overdressed or overeducated
Getting up early in the morning to put effort into my appearance
Sending letters to people I care about (extra brownie points for wax seals & scented paper)
Spraying perfume out of one of those ~really~ fancy glass bottles whilst sitting at a vanity desk (thrifting is always good for finding these, then pour your favourite scents inside)
Long bubble baths, with strategically messy hair falling out of a bun, & my favourite drink in a fancy cup a la Margot Robbie in 'The Big Short' (2015, dir. by Adam McKay)
Sleepovers with face masks and early 2000s chick flicks
PINK ~ EVERYTHING~
Pin-curled hair, red lips and matching nails
Writing in aesthetic notebooks (or on my pretty pink blog!) - this includes taking angelic notes in school or work (either by hand with all sorts of highlighters and doodles, or digitally via software like Notion)
Window shopping for occasion dresses that I'll never wear (fess up, we're all guilty!)
Trying on multiple outfits before leaving the house, just to go back to the first outfit I planned out in my head several hours/days before
Wearing pink-tinted sunglasses (so you literally see the world through rose-tinted lenses!)
