After 8 months, I was promoted from a broadcast journalist role to lead Monday's news team; identifying, writing, editing and delivering top news stories for team dissemination, proofreading scripts to ensure compliance with media law and Ofcom regulations as well as dealing with emergencies, such as managing breaking news and shift rostering. I was also involved in multiple recruitment drives, screening and interviewing candidates and mentoring interns, providing constructive feedback.
