After winning honourable mention for 'Best Newcomer' at the Cardiff Student Media Awards (2021) for my Assistant to the Director role with the 'Lifestyle and Entertainment' section (2020-2021), I was promoted to lead the 'News' department (2021-2022) for Cardiff Union Television (CUTV), where I was nominated for 'Best Project/Series' and 'Best Section’ at Cardiff Student Media Awards (2022).

As Head of News, I produced fortnightly news episodes with industry-grade equipment, ensuring compliance with Ofcom regulations and media law. I enhanced efficiency by organising weekly team meetings to coordinate filming and editing schedules, streamlining workflows through Trello and revamping the equipment loaning process. Through this role, I developed strong collaboration and communication skills working on cross-departmental episodes, for example overseeing special reports which reached 3.8k+ views. I also increased society membership to improve production quality through effective recruitment efforts, such as at freshers' fairs and giving a lecture to Cardiff University JOMEC students.
